The brightness of light in any light fixture affects the mood and ambience. Having the ability to dim your lights allows you to change this mood to whatever is most suitable. In addition to giving
you better control of the ambience in a setting, dimming LEDs also saves energy at almost a 1:1
ratio. This means that when an LED is dimmed down to 50% of its light output, it uses about
50% of the energy. Dimming LEDs also causes them to produce less heat which helps extend the
life of both the components in the driver and the phosphor on the diode.
