Hello, I recently got a check led strip lights in my 2000 mercedes c230, the error code was “P0105 Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Malfunction”
Well I tried to find the map sensor, and i’m not sure if it is it or not. I followed this little white tube about the thickness of a straw from the engine, it was diconnected.. it lead to this y splitter where 2 tubes led downlight to this thing that looked like it could be the map sensor.
How big are the tubes that lead to the map sensor in a 2000 c230?
I will try to reset the flexible led strip and see if the problem comes back, but the engine was running very rich in fuel, you could smell it bad. Did I permanently damage anything by driving on it like this also?
There are no tubes going to the map sensor at all.
It is a small black plastic square bolted directly to the intake manifold with one fastener.
There is a three pole electric harness as wide as the the part itself plugged into it.
Running too rich leaves sooty deposits and can make the car run bad if driven too long because the O2 sensors are getting a thick covering.
