2 Different Power SOurces to led strip lights?

Is it possible to hook up my LED Fluorescent Replacement that are currently hooked to a 12V cig lighter to a music interface, to ALSO hook up to the dome lights so it lights up when I open the door? If so can someone please explain how to?
Yes but you will need a little circuit to isolate the inputs. Basically a transistor that says if dome light switch closed (door open), then open circuit to music input and power through dome light switch. Conversely, if dome light switch is open (door closed), power through music system. It’s easy and you can find schematics online for free.
Can I hook up led strips to the power wire of my headlights?
Its an 09 Challenger RT. I want some led footwell lighting to turn on when my headlights are on. So could I just run the positive and the ground to the positive and ground of the headlights?
absolutely NOT. the strain on the headlight circuit would either fry the circuit or not provide adequate power to the headlights. ALWAYS run an independent circuit for new products. AND in line fuse.
How can i connect LED strips to my home stereo?
i want to have multiple strips of different colors each all flashing,to flash, pulse, sync to the music that is playing
can i just buy a LED strip and connect the pos and neg wires to the sub wire?but wouldnt that only be one strip then?
LEDs use DC current and normally at a fairly low voltage. You would need some sort of controller to make it pulsate or change colors in sync with music. Just connecting it to a pre-out (ie: subwoofer out) on a receiver will not work.
Is it illegal to put LED Tube inside cars?
I am thinking about putting LED Fluorescent inside my vehicle like around where your feet go in the front seats and possibly the back. I know a fair amount about wiring but to a certain extent, is this a difficult job or is it just connecting a few wires directly to the battery and the lights to create a circuit and then just throw a 12 volt toggle switch in to be able to turn them off?
I think it varies between states. I had them in my old car and i had them on a switch but always left them on and when I got pulled over cops never said anything in nj.
